Another student has committed suicide in Kota. The 17 year old has shifted to Kota from Tamil Nadu merely 2 months ago. A suicide note has been recovered.

A NEET aspirant has committed suicide in Kota. The 17 year old was taking coaching in Kota for the national level medical entrance examination. The student had shifted to Kota two months ago. The police have also recovered a suicide note. Investigation is underway and the family has been informed.

As per the police report, the boy who was staying in the hostel did not answer the calls and the doors were locked. The police was informed around 9 last night. On reaching the spot, the police tried to open the door but found no response. From the window it could be ascertained that something was amiss.

The student’s body was found hanging from the ceiling fan when the door was broken open. The student was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was declared brought dead. The body has been sent for post-mortem and parents have been informed. He was taking medical coaching from famous Allen Institute in Kota.

Kota’s coaching classes and economy has become notorious for claiming many lives. Every year lakhs of students travel to this city in Rajasthan in search of coaching for IIT JEE or NEET. Reports have often pointed out the extensive lakh of facilities to cater to the young students. Many experts have also pointed out the ill effects of sending students off to far off places without family’s support. Homesickness coupled with depression and stress has claimed many young lives in the town. The recent suicide only adds to the burgeoning number.
